Abandoning this profile favor of a new one

Thu May 14, 2009, 4:06 PM
After serious thought I've finally decided to abandon this profile and make a new one connected with my newer endeavors. I'll work to bring as many of my original watchers as I can with me. I'm not at liberty to say what my new profile is but you'll know it when I start watching you. Essentially I'll be syncing this gallery up with a master gallery and any other gallery I have in a bid to advertise my art on a wider stage. The specific goal on DeviantArt will be to carefully select certain art for this site. Art that is neither fanart nor art that's personally classified (projects where the art would compromise my own IPs or my clients' IPs). Which means I will have to come up with good art that has no connection with anything and is generic in design and intent.

Point is, I am being very careful here in posting art in case the powers-that-be decide that, based on their own subjective view on art or on an overbearing personal philosophy on what's "good art", there is certain art that is subjectively unacceptable, art that is not necessarily morally controversial (I don't do that kind of art anymore anyway), but may be tired, unfashionable or out of vogue. Some people have their own unpredictable sense of taste, I have my own specific sense of taste and never the tween shall meet I guess. It's not that I make gross art, or something that's morally offensive. I may create something that's been done a million times over (like just really cool and family friendly fanart) and some people get tired of that something while still liking a different something that has also been done a million times over. I dunno. But I do know that I'll homogenize my art on this site. I'll self censor. Not for nudity or other taboo things, but for taste. But that's ok. I don't mind it. I have other planned galleries that I have more control over and I'll link to those sites.

Hope to see you on my new profile!

I'll be putting up the ubuntu poster as a print! Didn't do it in the first place because that thing has been printed all over the world in any language I can think of... so I thought I'd be redundant to have it as a print on DA... but after all, it won't cost me to do so!
Thanks for requesting it!

:( Sorry about that guys. I apologize if it's all gone to shit here. I just lost all trust in DA once I read up on their history. I'll let everybody know here where my gallery will end up.
Heyo, It's Cassie from the PvP forums. Nice place you got here... Mind if I watch? :ninja:

Don't mind at all.
Here is my general rule. Clifhanders are a good thing. Ending in a cliffhanger will even get the people who weren't necessarily liking it to look at the next issue, just to see what happens. A rule of thumb i tend to fallow. I hope that you judge me by my words rather than by the art in my gallery! ^ ^
